ONCE, DURING MY STUDY IN THE NETHERLANDS, MY SUPERVISOR SUGGESTED IN A WRITTEN LETTER TO OUR LATE PRESIDENT HAFEZ AL-ASSAD TO APPOINTING ME AS THE AMBASSADOR OF SYRIA IN THE NETHERLANDS BECAUSE AS HE SAID IN HIS LETTER THAT HE MET MANY AMBASSADORS BECAUSE OF HIS JOB AND AS HE SAID I AM THE BEST TO REPRESENT SYRIA EVERYWHERE. AND BECAUSE SYRIA HAS NON TO REPRESENTING IT IN THE MENTION COUNTRY BUT IN BELGIUM. IT WAS THE BEST MOMENT IN MY LIFE TO READ SUCH A LETTER TO MY PRESIDENT. SINCE I AM NOT BELONGING TO ANY PARTY THAT LETTER MAY HAS GONE ASTRAY. I AM NOT SURE IF ANY ONE MAY LET YOU READ THIS MESSAGE. hello , I'm Syrian descendant, my great father was antonios haddad , his parents were antonios haddad and catherine or catalina mansour, my great grand father died in 1933, and his parents died in 1925 during the french bombardment IN Damascus , I would like to know if there are yet haddads and mansour living in midan quarter , I've never got contact with haddad there because my great grand father died and his children were no adults yet and they didn't remember his relatives there only their uncle george haddad and their aunt ophelia. I have a word for syrians if they don't change their thinking ways and intellectual abilities and behaviour within society then they'll never progress. It all starts with the individual. Education should be top priority. And all the good should be preserved for the next smarter and healthier generation. People should learn to tolerate each other more. Most of all respect for every individual should be granted. We Canadians have high expectations for a better future in syria.

Hello fellow syrians (syriacs/arameans, kurds, arabs, etc etc) !

We all with a little bit of a brain know that many of the syrian ppl is not ready for democracy and hmm that it would become islamist state and the christians of syria would even more run away than they already do! that is a shame! becuz syria is a multi-religious country and with many different ppl ! we should stay like we are and be a symbol for the rest of the world where muslims/jews/christians are fighting like kids ! And for the extremist lets remmember syria had christians before there was even moslems in saudi arabia ! Well lets not talk about that anymore, like assad learned us religion and politics should never be mixed ! We are not like turkey killing syriacs and armenians for there religion! we are the best, the only and the oldest, the first civilasations are in syria and iraq everybody learned from us and they should still do !

Threating kurds like shit? Ofcourse!
Talking bad about lebanon/lebanese? Ofcourse! Lets be proud of what we did to them and there country instead..! becuz we are the best and ppl will learn from us ! When they say enough leave, we leave..that is right!

Also i must say this, keep the rich pepole from the gulf countries away from here ! THEY DESTROY OUR CONTRY BY BULDING HIGH BULDINGS ABOVE THE GREEN PARTS OF SYRIA ! THERE IS TO MANY EMPTY BULDINGS THAT DO NOW GOOD ! ONLY DESTROYING! LETS US BE ALONE AND KEEP SYRIA OLD AND LET IT DEVELOP ITSELF WITHOUT THE OUTSIDERS !

Im from syrian descent, my grandfather fled from syria to Mexico, i never met him but my blood is calling, he was from aleppo, if any one is from Aleppo... how many people with the last name "chaccour" or "chaccourt" are there? I wish to visit in the near future, im already learning arabic.
