The Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday the beginning of the Hajj pilgrimage season, and that applications for pilgrimage will be accepted from 8/5/2011 until 13/7/2011.

Male and female Syrians and Palestinians legally treated as Syrians whoa re over 18 years old can apply at local registries, while state employees, retirees, workers, tradesmen and business owners can apply at their areas of residence.

Participation in Hajj is only allowed via officially-approved pilgrimage groups, and Syrians pilgrims are to be transported by air and in groups.
